ORGANIZATION
POICIES & PRACTICES
Participation in practices
According to the the instruction of Garchen Rinpoche, no previous experience with Buddhism is necessary in order to attend regular Sunday practices. As such, ndividuals should feel welcme and confident to participate in Green Tara, White Tara, Vajrasattva and Chenrezig practice without having had the empowerment. In addition, college students need not make an appointment to attend practices.
Membership and Donations
We sustain our operation through regular donations of the people wo attend practices at Gar Drolma. In addition, our organization is run entirely by volunteers. If you attend Gar Drolma regularly, please consider becoming a member of the Friends Program. If you are an occasional visitor, we would very much appreciate a small donation be offered each time you attend practice. If you would like more information about the costs of running the center, please click here. If you would like more information on participating in the Friends Program, please click here.
Drug and Alcohol Use
We ask individuals to abstain from alcohol or illicit drugs at any dharma-related function at Gar Drolma Buddhist Center.
Inclusivity
We are an open and inclusive sangha, and do not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, gender, income, or sexual orientation..
